Consulting
When providing consulting services, it became evident to the team that the most prevalent safety issues were a lack
of awareness and training amongst workers and tradespeople. Skills obtained during competency based
training tended to have an overwhelming quality focus – not a safety focus.
This specialisation has given us practical experience and knowledge when it comes to developing and implementing
practical safety solutions which work. We understand the mindset of trades people and their “can do” attitude which
often prioritises getting the work done above getting the work done safely.
The evolution of 3D Safety is unique in our industry:
We retain skills and knowledge to support all aspects of this process chain and the experienced management team
has been together in the business for more than 15 years.
We specialise in:
Risk Management for hot work and allied processes, safety assessmments, oxy/fuel plant inspection and audit testing.
People
Eighty percent of all workplace accidents are caused through human error. Trades people generally receive very little
training in the operational requirements of the plant and equipment they use and are unaware of the catastrophic effects
the misuse of the equipment can lead to. Our systems ensure that operators are assessed to determine their level of
competency.
Plant
Our systems provide for all plant used in the workplace to be individually identified and any activity in relation to that
plant is recorded on a plant register. Our inspection of plant includes:
- Testing and labelling of plant for compliance to Australian Standards
- Identification tags on all equipment
- Customised reports for each plant at each location
Processes
Often equipment is used for processes that are outside of the equipment capacity. These practices breach the
manufacturers' guidelines and can lead to “category 1” risks to employees of injury and death. The solutions are
simple effective and in most cases will reduce operating costs.
Regular oxy/fuel plant inspection and audit testing under AS4839 and Safety Assessments will help
you to meet your legal obligations to ensure the safety of employees and contractors on site.
