      2 Hoses are colour coded as to the gas to be used with them:
      LPG hoses are coloured orange: AS1869-1996
      Acetylene hoses are coloured red: AS1335-1995
      Oxygen hoses are coloured blue: AS1335-1995
      3 Hoses are supplied in various diameters, depending on the pressure and flow required.
      4 Hoses should be regularly inspected by a competent person to ensure that they are in good working order.
      5 Inspections should include: checking for burns, cuts, perished rubber and leaks.
      6 Compressed oxygen reacts with oil or grease, therefore ensure that all connections are free from these materials.
      7 Always turn off the gas supply to the hoses and regulator when the equipment is not being used.
