    • 1 This is a single stage pressure regulator, as found in most workshops and commonly found on mobile oxygen & acetylene welding and cutting carts.
      2 The vast majority of these regulators in the market place are of this type as they are simple, have few parts, suit the most common application and are cheap to buy.
      3 It reduces the cylinder or inlet pressure down to the required working pressure, set by adjusting the regulator control knob.
      4 Cylinder pressures are high and range (depending on the gas type) from 1,500 kPa to as high as 30,000 kPa.
      5 Outlet pressure on standard regulators are adjustable between 0 - 1,000 kPa.
      6 The outlet pressure on a single stage regulator will increase as the cylinder or inlet pressure reduces.
      7 Typically the pressure in an acetylene cylinder is 1,500 – 2,500 kPa and oxygen is 17,500 – 20,000 kPa.
